Hey everyone! I’m here to present a new mod that I’ve found today, and it’s called Skyrimcraft. I’m pretty sure you all know about the infamous game called Skyrim. Now this mod Skyrimcraft attempts to bring the Skyrim world into blocky-form of minecraft.

This mod adds in new weapons, mobs, items, food, armors, and even shouts!

There’s really nothing more that I can say about this mod since it’s really just Skyrim inside of Minecraft. I really recommend that you check it out!

Minecraft Comes Alive

Have you ever found that the original villagers in vanilla minecraft are just too useless and boring? I’ve found that villagers were pretty much useless, and there was really no point to them. Minecraft Comes Alive is a minecraft mod that adds new features to villagers!

Villagers can be male or female, and have different skins based on their gender and profession.

You can also interact with villagers by raising your relationship with them. (In this case, hearts.)

If you get someone to like you enough, you can get married and have a baby. The baby will grow into a child who will do chores and gather resources for you.

After a while, your child will grow into an adult after sometime. Adults will fight with you, and defend you. You can have your adult children marry other villagers and start their own family.

There’s also a secret feature that’s only present in Hardcore mode.

Overall, it’s a quite decent mod! I think you should check it out. I’ve had a bit of fun messing around with the new villagers.

Wasteland Mod

Minecraft Wasteland Mod

In the Year of 1337, an apocalypse hit Minecraftia. The sky became dark, the grass died away, forest fires became rampant, and the rivers ran dry. The only ones left alive are the creatures of the night, and one human, trying to survive.


That human is you.

Sorry, haven’t posted anything in such a long time! So, I’d like to present to you a pretty awesome mod that I found, and I’ve been playing around with for a while now. This mod is called Wasteland Mod. It’s a mod that changes Minecraft’s terrain into a wasteland. There are no more grass blocks, replaced with dirt. The mod also changes some things with trees, so they’re even harder to find. There are NO oceans! There are also more features, such as: Red Sky Color, random ruined houses and modified dungeons.

There is also another version of the mod that you can use for multiplayer! Which is pretty awesome to be travelling on the wasteland with your friends.

NiceGUI

NiceGUI is a pretty great mod. As it says in it’s name, it mods the minecraft GUI (The menus.) to look more aesthetically pleasing! It doesn’t affect gameplay, it adds a great looking home screen for Minecraft as well as a re-featured ESC menu!

Minecraft GUI Mod

I really do recommend this mod, as it’s a pretty cool-looking mod but it also adds some nifty features: like running your own local server through your minecraft game, switching texturepacks while in-game, player stats, and so on! As you can see, it’s a pretty good looking mod. I use it in conjuction with lots of other mods and it makes it a lot easier to navigate minecraft using NiceGUI.

Lately, I’ve been hearing on what parents should get their minecraft-addicted kids or what the top Minecrafters should get. I admit, I’m also one of those minecrafters who want an edge in multiplayer servers, gathering all the diamond, using all the resources.

I’ve been hearing about ebooks that can have this type of information. Usually, people can just search up most of the minecraft stuff on the internet, so I pretty much ignored these other minecraft ebooks.

But now, I found the “Minecraft Secrets” guide that has information that you can’t find anywhere else! That’s why I recommend it to minecrafters or even parents! Though, the first time I bought it, I thought it was a scam. Page after page, I read and found out that it was actually pretty helpful! It has a few minor flaws, such as not showing a few basic minecraft techniques, but overall it is an amazing product.

I’m still pretty bummed that I paid for this book for $24.95 when it first came out, but now it’s now on sale for only $19.95!

Are you tired of the default texture that Minecraft comes with, but aren’t willing to commit to those totally different higher resolution texture packs? Well, if so, try out Affinite’s “Faithful” texture pack! The pack is basically a revamp higher resolution of the original Minecraft textures. It looks amazing. It comes in 64×64 and oh my god..I’m moist nuff said.

From the creator of Summerfields, brings Toybox Tales! Here’s another great texture pack that I’ve seen around in the minecraft forums. I’ve tried it out, and it’s pretty amazing! The texture pack is still in work-in-progress but it’s pretty nice so far! I definitely recommend this texture pack, as it is starting to become one of my favorite texture packs! Check it out and give it a try. I’m sure you won’t be disappointed, as this texture pack is just stunning! Look below for some screenshots of this wonderful texture pack. My only warning though, it’s a work-in-progress, and it’s updated everyday. So, you might have to redownload the textures to update!

Have you always wanted to record timelapse videos in Minecraft and always wondered how people got smooth camera movements?

I know I’ve had my fair share of issues while making these timelapse videos, but I stumbled across a revolutionary mod that easily and automatically moves your character smoothly!

Just put in a couple commands and record, and it’ll start running! It’s pretty simple!

Minecraft101 Minecraft Server

Hey Everyone!

Minecraft101.info has a new minecraft server that we’re willing to open to the public! That’s right, you can join and discuss mods, texture-packs, or anything with fellow minecraft101′ers!

Currently, it is a vanilla 1.1 minecraft server, but we will transfer over to Bukkit as soon as the recommended build is out! =)

Also, we are looking for moderators to moderate the minecraft server! If you want to become a moderator, just stick out around and be a great person in the server. We’ll contact you if we think you’ll be an excellent moderator!
